com Smart Carts of Maine is looking for a seasonal Packaging and Production Associate to join our team and help with the packaging and production of our products through May.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for packing and kitting items according to product specifications and ensuring the accuracy of packaged products.
The ideal candidate must be able to work quickly and accurately while adhering to safety standards.
Attention to detail and the ability to stand for long periods of time are essential for this position.
In addition to packaging and kitting activities, this employee will also have the opportunity to cross-train on other production operations.
As a small team, all employees are expected to learn other roles so they can fill in for and assist others when there are absences in the shop.
Responsibilities:
Package products according to company specifications.
Label packages accurately.
Ensure that packages are properly sealed and secured.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow safety protocols when handling packages.
Inspect packaged items for any damage or defects.
Stack packages onto pallets.
Transport heavy packages (using pallet jacks to ensure safety) from the packaging area and warehouse area to the shipping door for pickup.
In addition to packaging and shipping activities, this employee will also have the opportunity to cross-train on other production operations.
